PHP Technical Design Product Pages B2B Engineering Audience
The Client

True North Power Tech is a technology company operating in the power and energy sector. Their products and services are technical, their buyers are engineering professionals, and their previous website failed to communicate the depth of their capability to this audience.

The Challenge

B2B technical websites have a specific audience problem: the people making purchasing decisions are engineers or technical procurement specialists who can immediately tell the difference between a company that understands their field and one that doesn't. Generic descriptions and stock photography of data centers don't work. Specificity and technical credibility are the trust signals that matter.

Goals
  • Communicate technical competency in power technology credibly
  • Build product and service pages with the right level of technical detail
  • Create a design aesthetic appropriate for B2B engineering audiences
  • Position True North against larger competitors in the space
Process

How we built it.

The design direction was deliberately restrained — dark, precise, minimal. Engineering buyers respond to brands that don't oversell. The copy was written at a technical level appropriate for the audience: not dumbed down for a general audience, not so jargon-heavy that it obscured meaning.

Product and service pages were structured around the questions technical buyers actually have: specifications, compatibility, certifications, use cases, and limitations. Each section was built to inform a decision, not just exist on the page.

Outcomes

What changed.

True North launched with a website that could hold up in a meeting where buyers were doing their due diligence. The brand reads as credible and technical — which for this type of company is the single most important conversion driver.

Technical copy written for engineering audiences
Dark, precision-oriented design aesthetic
Product pages with full specification detail
B2B lead capture optimized for long sales cycles
York's Take
"I find B2B technical websites genuinely interesting to work on. The design restrain required is different from consumer-facing work, and getting the copy right for a technical audience is a specific skill. You can't fake technical credibility — readers notice immediately."
